Job Information
Who?
We are searching for energetic individuals from English speaking countries who are looking to explore the world. You qualify if you have a four- or three- year Bachelor's degree. (This requirement changes from time to time.) ALL MAJORS WELCOME... NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

The Job
You will be teaching conversational English to eager students. While university and adult positions are available in Korea, we focus exclusively on recruiting for institute's that work with children, ranging from pre-school to high school. (Many schools focus on school-aged children only.) If you want a university or adult position please do not apply through us, as we can not help you. The typical workweek includes 15 to 30 hours of teaching.

Compensation
Depending on your experience, education and hours worked you will be earning 1,700,000 to 2,000,000 Korean Won per month. (Click here for a current conversion.)

Benefits include:

  • accomodations (often shared)
  • an airline ticket to Korea (often return)
  • an extra month's pay upon completion of your contract
  • a relocation bonus (in most contracts)
  • shared health insurance
  • paid emergency leave (in many contracts)
From this, taxes are 5-8% of your salary, and an additional 1.5% is deducted for your health insurance. You will be paid extra for any overtime hours you work.

When comparing this salary to a Western salary make sure to consider the cost of an apartment (included in your contract), an airline ticket, lower taxes, and, in general, far lower living expenses. (Depending on your situation, you may be required to pay taxes to the country you are from.) In additional, upon completion of your one year contract you will be given one month's extra pay.
