Korean Music Class for Expats
The National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts (NCKTPA, www.ncktpa.go.kr) provides classes of Korean traditional musical instruments for foreigners who live in Korea to help them understand traditional culture through live experiences.
The entire program will be conducted in both Korean and English by professional performers of NCKTPA and instructors with experiences.
The instruments necessary for the lesson will be leased during the class except for bamboo flute.
On the last day of this 12-week program, participants will have a chance to perform on the stage of NCKTPA and watch congratulatory performance by expert performers of NCKTPA.

Mar. 15 - May. 31 / 10:30-12:30, Every Saturday

Gugak Training Center at NCKTPA
Umyeon-dang (small theater / for orientation and final presentation)
CLASSES
JangGu (Hourglass-Shaped Drum)
GaYaGeum (12-Stringed Zither) – Beginner’s / Intermediate
DanSo (Vertical Bamboo Flute)
SaMulNoRi (Percussion Quartet, Prerequisite janggu class or basic janggu skills required.)
PARTICIPATION FEE
30,000 won, covering whole 12-week lesson
